2 People Shot Inside NYC Deli, Suspect Still At Large: NYPD

NEW YORK CITY — Police are searching for a gunman who shot two deli workers in Queens over the weekend.

The incident happened on Saturday around 9: 30 p.m. at 84-48 Manton St. in Briarwood, police said on Monday.

The suspect entered the deli and pointed a gun at a 48-year-old worker. The unidentified man took $800 from the register and was attempting to leave when another worker, 52, tried to stop him, police said.

The robber opened fired on the two men before fleeing the scene.

The two workers were taken to a local hospital for treatment and are expected to survive.

No arrests have been made yet.
