2026 NYC Pride March This Weekend: What To Know

NEW YORK CITY — The annual Pride March in New York City, celebrating LGBTQIA+ rights and history, will take place this weekend, bringing rainbow floats, flags and festivities to the Big Apple.

The march will kick off on Sunday at noon from 26th Street and head downtown along Fifth Avenue and then end at 15th Street and Seventh Avenue.

Pride Month is celebrated each June to commemorate the 1969 Stonewall Uprising in Greenwich Village, widely viewed as a turning point in the modern LGBTQ+ rights movement, according to the Library of Congress.

This year’s theme is "For All of Us," referencing a quote widely attributed to LGBTQIA+ activist and Stonewall veteran Marsha P. Johnson: "There is no pride for some of us without liberation for all of us."

This year's grand marshals are "Pose" actress Dominique Jackson, drag performer Peppermint, comedian Bowen Yang, Bernie Wagenblast, known as the "voice of the MTA," and members of Gays Against Guns.

"LGBTQ+ Pride events are under attack around the world, but NYC is determined to march on," Im Lynde, the executive director of NYC Pride, said. "We invite our LGBTQIA+ community from near and far to join us in the birthplace of Pride as we continue the fight for LGBTQIA+ equality – for all of us."

In addition to the main march, the city will shut down streets for Pridefest — a pride-themed street fair — on Fourth Avenue from Astor Place to 14th Street.

Here's how to watch the parade:

The march will travel downtown on Fifth Avenue from 25th Street to 8th Street, and then head west on West 8th Street to Sixth Avenue. From there, the march will continue downtown on Greenwich Avenue to Christopher Street, head west on Christopher Street to Seventh Avenue South, and then head back uptown slightly on Seventh Avenue to 16th Street.

Anywhere along this route is fair game to watch.

• 7th Avenue between 15th Street and 19th Street
• 16th Street between 8th Avenue and 6th Avenue
• 17th Street between 9th Avenue and 6th Avenue
• 18th Street between 8th Avenue and 6th Avenue
• 19th Street between 9th Avenue and 6th Avenue

• Christopher Street between West Street and 7th Avenue South
• Greenwich Avenue between 6th Avenue and 8th Avenue
