5 Bulletproof Coffee Tips For A Better Tasting Brew

No milk frother? No problem.

If coffee is your lifeline, then keep reading. You’re about to embark on some serious caffeine-related knowledge that is going to change the way you brew forever. Whether your idea of a perfect morning involves a sweetened latte, a black cup of Joe, or an iced mocha, there’s a tip here that’s guaranteed to spark your interest.

1. A Pinch of Cinnamon
Adding a pinch of cinnamon to your coffee filter before brewing will not only make your kitchen smell amazing and your coffee taste even better, but cinnamon has been proven to fight heart disease and improve colon health.

2. Add a Little Salt
This may sound crazy, but trust us it will send your taste buds on a caffeine adventure they’ve yet to experience. Salt acts as a bitterness reducer, ultimately blocking out that bitter aftertaste. Add a dash to the grounds before it’s brewed or dissolve it in an already brewed pot, either way your taste buds will thank you.

3. Make Your Own Foamed Milk
Fortunately, you don’t need a fancy foamer to make frothy milk at home. Just pour a little milk in a jam jar (any microwave-safe jar with a lid will do), screw the lid on tightly, shake well, remove the lid, and microwave it for a few seconds.

4. Use Chocolate Milk Instead
Make your mornings a little sweeter with a homemade iced mocha latte. All you need is a little cold-brew coffee, ice cubes, and chocolate milk. Plop your ice cubes into a tall glass, pour equal amounts of cold brew and chocolate milk, stir, and enjoy!

5. Oreo Milk-and-Cookies Ice Cubes
If you’re feeling a little creative, then Oreo milk-and-cookie ice cubes should be your next snack project. Simply fill an ice tray with milk (instead of water, because water is bland and boring), crumble up some Oreos, and freeze.
