5 Easter Egg Hunts In Manhattan, Brooklyn And Queens

Here's everything you and your kids need to know to find an Easter egg hunt.

NEW YORK, NY – The Easter Bunny is headed to several NYC neighborhoods this week, scrattering eggs in time for hunters before the holiday on April 21.

Here's a roundup of some local egg hunts.

Manhattan:

Easter Egg Hunt (East Harlem: FREE) at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 20th at the Pleasant Village Community Garden, 342 Pleasant Avenue. It's all about scavenging for eggs with this Easter event. A small hunt for eggs will take place first for smaller children, and waves of searching for older kids will take place after.

NYSoM Easter Eggstravaganza 2019 (Morningside Heights: FREE) at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 20th at the Rodale Pleasant Park Community Garden, 437 114 Street between Pleasant Ave & 1st Ave. Groups of 20 children will participate in a hunt every 10 minutes. It's first come first served with 300 eggs available for painting and an Easter Bunny meet and greet.

Hunt, Design, Weave: Easter at the Children's Museum of Manhattan (Upper West Side: Included With Admission) from 10 a.m-7 p.m. on Saturday, April 20th and 10 a.m.-5 p.m. on Sunday, April 21st at the Children's Museum of Manhattan, 212 West 83rd Street.

Brooklyn:

Legacy Brooklyn Easter Hunt (Bed-Stuy: FREE) at 12 p.m. on Saturday, April 20th at the Herbert Von King Park, 670 Lafayette Avenue. Join this festive egg hunt hosted by Legacy Brooklyn.

C3. NYC Easter Festival (Williamsburg: FREE) at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 20th at the East River State Park, 90 Kent Avenue. The festival features a 10,000 chocolate egg hunt, a DJ live performance and face painting.

Egg Hunt at First Quincy Street Community Garden (Bed-Stuy: FREE) at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, April 21st at the First Quincy Street Community Garden between Tompkins and Throop, Brooklyn, NY 11221. The event has asked participants to bring their own plastic filled eggs with goodies (nut free) per child that is participating.

Plymouth Church Easter Egg Hunt (Brooklyn Heights: FREE) at 12:15 p.m. on Sunday, April 21st at the Plymouth Church, 57 Orange Street. The church's annual egg hunt will take place after the Easter Sunday service.

Town Square's Annual Easter Egg Hunt (Greenpoint) at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 20th at 199 Richardson Street. Tickets are $15 online and $20 at the door, proceeds will help local Brooklyn Scouts. Bring your own basket for an egg hunt, and also participate in fun crafts and music, face painting and a spring photo booth.

Queens:

Long Island City 6th Annual Easter Egg Hunt–Queensbridge Park (Long Island City: FREE) at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 20th at the Queensbridge Park, 21 Street, Bridge Plaza, Vernon Boulevard. The hunting will begin at 2:30 p.m. for children under three, including crawlers. At 3 p.m. children 4-10 will begin their hunt.

Long Island City 10th Annual Easter Egg Hunt: Gantry Park (Long Island City: FREE) at 10 a.m on Saturday, April 20th at the Gantry Park, 4-09 47th Road, Long Island City. It is a free ticketed event, but pre-registration is required for all participation.

Ascension Church's Easter Fest and Egg Hunt (Forest Hills: FREE) at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, April 21st at McDonald Park, Queens Blvd. There will be outdoor music, an egg hunt, games, crafts, face painting and light refreshments.

Lewis Latimer House Egg Hunt (Flushing: FREE) at 3:30 p.m. on Monday, April 22nd at the Lewis Howard Latimer House Museum, 34-41 137th Street. Enjoy family fun at the annual hunt in the garden of the Lewis Latmer House Museum. RSVP required.

Sky Village NYC Neighborhood Easter Egg Hunt (Astoria) at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 20th at 23-05 29th Street. For $12 per child or $20 per family, several hundred eggs will be hidden at various business locations from Ditmars Boulevard to Broadway containing candy--two of the eggs will contain an all expense paid Sky Village birthday party (valued at $900 each) for up to 10 children.
