HARLEM, NEW YORK —

The 50th anniversary of the African American Day Parade drew thousands to Harlem on Sunday, 9/15. Attendees lined Adam Clayton Powell Jr. Boulevard from 111th to 136th Street. The parade's theme this year was "Integrity and Transparency = Good Government" and honored African Americans who made an impact through politics.

Marchers included United States Senator from New York Chuck Schumer, Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams and New York City Public Advocate Jumaane Williams. Wife of NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio, First Lady of NYC Chirlane McCray also marched.
