Help Remove Invasive Plants on the Cross Kirkland Corridor
Monday, May 21
9 to 11 am

On CKC Trail, at Kirkland Way/Railroad Ave Volunteers will be working between Railroad Ave and Kirkland Way, just south of the old trestle bridge--near the parking area. Park on Railroad Ave.
-- Bring water to drink
-- Wear long pants, long sleeves, sturdy traction boots or shoes (ground may be wet or slippery)
-- Bring leather gloves if you have them (extras will be available)
-- Tools provided
-- Under 18 need signed parent permission (request waiver form via email)

Summer Juanita Friday Market Onsite Assistants
Fridays between June 1 and September 28 (minimum 3 Fridays)
Choice of shifts:
-- 1-3 pm Market Set-up, or
-- 7-8:30 pm Market Tear-down
At Juanita BEACH Park (9703 NE Juanita Drive 98034)

3 volunteers are needed each Friday (must be at least 14 years of age) to assist staff at this fun, summer-only community market--for a minimum three, and up to 16 Fridays. Assist onsite staff with set-up, vendor support, customer service and tear-down. Should be comfortable lifting 20 pounds and walking/standing for period of 30 minutes or more. This opportunity is great for parent-teen duos, retirees and small companies/offices.

Green Kirkland Partnership Habitat Restoration
Join the City of Kirkland/Green Kirkland Partnership to help remove invasive, non-native plants, mulch cleared areas and plant native plants within forests and other natural areas in Kirkland parks. All events are outdoors and happen rain or shine.

• Everest Park Friday May 11, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
• Crestwoods Park Saturday May 12, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
• Josten Park Saturday May 19, 10 a.m. -12 p.m.
• Juanita Bay Park – East Wednesday May 23, 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.
• Juanita Bay Park Saturday June 9, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
• Watershed Park Friday June 15, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
