10 People Found Dead In NYC During Weekend Snowstorm
The freezing temperatures and major snow storm caused several deaths beginning on Saturday.
NEW YORK CITY — At least 10 people have died outside due to the freezing temperatures from this past weekend's snowstorm, officials said.
"We don't yet know whether every case will be ruled hypothermia, but we need every New Yorker to be on alert, looking out for their neighbors," Mayor Zohran Mamdani said on Tuesday.
The latest victim was a 47-year-old man found dead near Francis Lewis Boulevard in Queens around 6 a.m. Tuesday.

Before Tuesday, police had been investigating at least 8 people found dead outside in freezing conditions.
Among those 8 individuals were a man found dead outside 651 Jerome Ave. on Sunday and a 90-year-old woman found unresponsive outside an apartment building in Crown Heights.

On Sunday, a 52-year-old man died on a Queens street. Officers found him unresponsive at 10:30 a.m. near 96th Street and 34th Avenue. He was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
On Saturday, a man was found dead outside 185-46 Hilburn Ave. in Jamaica. Two other men were unresponsive at different locations in Manhattan, according to police.
Lastly, a man and a woman were found dead in separate locations in Brooklyn.
The city's medical examiner will determine the official cause of death for all the victims. Investigations remain ongoing in the those cases.
