AI Hologram Debuts At LaGuardia Airport
LGA launched an interactive AI hologram named Bridget to guide travelers through Terminal B in English and Spanish.
NEW YORK, NY— LaGuardia Airport added a new digital guide for travelers this week with the launch of “Bridget,” a life-size AI hologram concierge inside Terminal B.
Airport officials described the system as the first fully interactive AI hologram in the airport industry designed specifically for guest services and wayfinding.
Positioned near Terminal B’s Food Hall, Bridget appears as a hyper-realistic digital airport ambassador capable of holding conversations with travelers and answering questions about gates, lounges, baggage claim areas, shops and restaurants.

The system operates through technology developed by Proto and Holomedia’s AI Concierge Wayfinder platform. Travelers can currently interact with Bridget in English and Spanish, with additional language support planned.
Terminal B officials said the hologram supplements existing customer service staff rather than replacing them.

The airport also built accessibility features into the system, including closed captioning, high-contrast display settings and wheelchair-accessible controls.
“Most people think of airports as stressful and confusing environments but LaGuardia's Terminal B leads the world in changing all that,” said David Nussbaum, founder of Proto Hologram, in a statement.
The launch marks another step in LaGuardia’s transformation following the completion of Terminal B’s $5.1 billion redevelopment project in 2022.
