New York, NY — New York City may have plenty of fancy and expensive restaurants, but it turns out you don't have to spend an arm and a leg to take a tasty bite out of the Big Apple.
The DailyMeal has released a list of "75 Best Hole-in-the-Wall Restaurants" in the country– and 21 of them are right here. The list is ranked alphabetically instead of the usual numerical scale, so deciding which restaurant deserves the top spot will come down to personal preference.
New York City is by far the most well represented location in the country, representing 28 percent of the total list.
Those that made the cut range from Russian comfort food in Brighton Beach, to Chinese noodles in Lower Manhattan and famed pizza joints across the city.
