Bideawee, one of the country’s oldest animal welfare and pet adoption organizations with locations in Manhattan and Long Island, today announced the recent election of Katie Mancilla to its Board of Directors. Mancilla is the founder of KC Media Group, a digital strategy and revenue advisory firm serving high-growth consumer brands, nonprofits, and mission-driven organizations. She is also the founder of Eleuthera Zo, a fine jewelry brand focused on transparency, craftsmanship, and modern heirlooms.
Before founding her own group, Mancilla was a senior executive at Velvet by Graham & Spencer and Van Tuyl Group (Berkshire Hathaway Automotive). She brings more than 20 years of experience as a senior revenue, financial, and digital-growth executive, stewarding capital, scaling organizations, and building sustainable revenue engines across consumer brands, digital commerce, and financial services. Katie is an expert in profit and loss management, donor-style acquisition economics, omnichannel fundraising, digital infrastructure, and governance-grade financial oversight, and serves as a trusted advisor to CEOs, founders, and boards navigating growth, risk, and operational complexity.
“Bideawee is so thrilled to have an innovator like Katie join its Board of Directors,” said Leslie Granger, CAWA, President and CEO of Bideawee. “Her work with nonprofit clients – among a wide range of other industries – will benefit us greatly as cultivating meaningful relationships with donors is vital to the work we do. We look forward to watching her invaluable expertise in fundraising lead to tangible outcomes that will help us provide the best possible care for the animals we serve and the humans who love them.”
Mancilla said, “Nothing gets accomplished without the work of a strong and committed team and I am so happy to be joining Bideawee’s. I look forward to bringing my experience in finance, advising, and leadership to help Bideawee serve its mission. As a passionate volunteer myself, I understand just how important every role in a nonprofit is from the leader all the way to the dedicated team of volunteers.”
Ms. Mancilla has been an active supporter and volunteer for several philanthropic causes, including amfAR, the Susan G. Komen Foundation, Conservation International, and the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
