NEW YORK CITY — A teenager was shot and killed at a New York City park Thursday evening, police said.
The incident happened in the vicinity of Baisley and Merrick Boulevards near Roy Wilkins Park around 6:15 p.m.
A 15-year-old boy was found with a gunshot wound to the chest, police said. He was taken to Jamaica Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
What led up to the shooting is not known at this time.
No arrests have been made yet.
An investigation remains ongoing.
