NEW YORK, NY— New York City bars secured 13 spots on North America’s 50 Best Bars list, organizers announced at a ceremony in Vancouver, with Sip & Guzzle earning the title of Best Bar in the Northeast.
The annual ranking, now in its fifth year focusing on North America, highlights cocktail destinations across the U.S., Canada and the Caribbean. New York led all cities in total entries.
Several NYC bars also picked up major awards.
Bar Snack earned the Highest New Entry Award, while Schmuck was named Best New Opening.
Sip & Guzzle blends two distinct concepts under one roof, pairing a high-energy cocktail bar with a more refined, reservation-driven experience. Judges recognized its technical precision and inventive drinks that balance playful presentation with serious craft.
Bar Snack made the biggest debut jump on the list, signaling immediate impact among industry voters. The bar has built a reputation for bold, flavor-forward cocktails and a casual, come-as-you-are atmosphere that contrasts with more formal peers.
Schmuck earned top honors among new venues, standing out for its distinct identity and early buzz within the cocktail world. Its approach combines experimental drinks with a carefully designed space that has quickly drawn attention from both critics and patrons.

New York’s total led the rankings, followed by Mexico City and Toronto, according to organizers.
The list follows the release of the extended 51–100 rankings earlier this year and reflects votes from industry experts, including bartenders, drinks writers and cocktail specialists across the region.
