Happy sixth birthday, Unite in Love, by God's amazing grace!

When I founded Unite in Love on May 21, 2020, I thought it was just going to be a short-term project to assist my brethren and Bible students in developing countries weather the COVID-19 pandemic lockdowns. But once life gradually returned to normal, I found that there were ongoing causes I could not and should not forsake: education for school kids and university students, business startups for single moms, life-saving medical care to treat diseases from tuberculosis to malaria, sustainable home farming, and basic assistance to help single parents get by in struggling economies.

Unite in Love is privileged to have served over sixty families and individuals across eight countries--and counting. Our love team--supporters of Unite in Love--provides emergency funds to those who are left to fend for themselves in regions with no government assistance, unemployment benefits, or food banks. To date, our team has covered essentials such as food (including seeds and fertilizer for home farming), rent, and life-saving medical care, including a wheelchair and a walker. We have also funded business startups and education, which has kept a medical student in college and three children in primary school. Love gifts to Unite in Love have prevented the eviction of several families with young children and funded the construction of a hut and a rain-harvesting tank system for a single mother and her children, ensuring they have both shelter and clean drinking water.

Unite in Love wouldn't be a reality if it weren't for the people who have sacrificially given to make an extraordinary impact on other people's lives. I call them our love team. To all of you who have shown the love of Christ to our brethren, I salute you and give you my biggest thanks! You are the precious ones who do not forget to share your bread with those who are struggling to make ends meet. Even though you haven't met them, you embrace them with your heart. With your love gifts, you give people hope and a future.

To celebrate Unite in Love's sixth anniversary, here are words of gratitude and blessings from some of the people your love gifts have touched:

David, father of three, Nigeria:

"To the good people that have contributed to the causes for me & my wife & three kids we appreciate you all for the love & support you have been showing to us immensely through the Unite in Love initiative from our beautiful sister & likewise mother to me Mommy Shirley Cheng. Thank you all and may the Almighty Creator keep you all in his protection everywhere & always provide you wisdom to do what is right & good all the time. God bless & Shalom."

Hariganesh, father of two, India:

"As Unite in Love approaches its sixth anniversary, I want to sincerely thank every donor who has supported this beautiful mission over the years. Your kindness and generosity have helped me and my family through some very difficult moments in life. From financial struggles during crisis situations to emotional support when we needed hope the most, your contributions truly made a real difference in our lives. Because of your love and compassion, we were able to move forward with strength and dignity. I am deeply grateful to Sister and everyone who stood beside us through Unite in Love. May God bless each and every one of you abundantly for the lives you continue to touch."

Gideon, medical student, Nigeria:

"6 years of service to humanity is really a lot. You've been a mother, sister, and a friend all together. A day is coming when your works will be made known to everyone in the world. When we finally reach the top you've been pushing us toward, silence will no longer be an option. God always bless you.

"As Unite in Love celebrates its sixth anniversary, my heart is filled with deep gratitude. Being one of the beneficiaries here in Nigeria has truly changed my life in ways words can barely express. From helping with my school fees to feeding and supporting me through medical school from my second year up till now in 500 level, your kindness has been a pillar of strength in my journey. Through your love and generosity, difficult days became hopeful ones. Thank you so much to every single donor who has chosen to give and uplift lives. You may never fully know how much your sacrifices mean, but I am living proof that your compassion is changing futures. May God richly bless and reward you all for the lives you continue to touch through Unite in Love."

Marcy, mother of three and two "special" kids, Kenya:

"I would like to sincerely thank you in the most humble way for you've come through for us in different situations. May our good Lord continue guiding you in your ministry, may He meet the Unite in Love donors at their very point of need that together we may testify of his goodness. And I pray for the peace of Christ to rule in your heart as it is stated in Colossians 3:15 as I also stay guided by James 1:17 that every good gift and every perfect gift is from above. I pray for the abundance of the Lord to be upon our donors and to you too that we may live to testify of his wonderful nature. Blessings."

Qaim of Pakistan who helps Unite in Love distribute love gifts in his community:

"Hi sister and all brothers and donors, first of all I am thankful to God and then I am thankful to all donors. They are helping for 6 years, in foods and medicines and in house rents for some families through ministry Unite in Love. I am also thankful to sister Shirley's love and help for needy peoples. All families are happy and praying for sister Shirley and for donors. Thank you again from me and from all needy and poor families. God bless you all."

Elijah, recent university grad whose education was sponsored by Unite in Love, Nigeria:

"I want to thank God for the existence of Unite in Love through Dr. Shirley and also appreciate all donors of Unite in Love. I want to appreciate you for standing with me through your donations even when I had lost hope to treat and cure me for six month when I had tuberculosis. Thanks for your kind donations always for food for both me and my family, and thanks for currently taking care of my mom in her current state of partial stroke. I pray that God will continually reward Unite in Love and all donors in Jesus Christ's name."

100% of donations go directly to those in need because there are no overhead costs, and every love gift makes a significant impact.

It’s estimated that in 2020, malaria took the precious lives of 627,000 people. Yet, a love gift of just $10 to $15 can save a life--as that is the average cost to treat this completely curable disease. Indeed, a simple love gift can be a true lifesaver.

Join in our celebration and give a love gift today to effect change, one family at a time!

There is power in love and strength in number. When we put these together -- when we unite in love -- we live up to our humanity!

Most importantly, remember what our Lord Jesus said: "Most certainly I tell you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me." (Matthew 25:40, WEB)

Thank you, and God bless you all!
