NEW YORK, NY— Blue-and-orange street signs bearing the names and jersey numbers of every member of the 2026 NBA champion New York Knicks lined Sixth and Seventh avenues after Mayor Zohran Mamdani announced a four-week tribute stretching through the heart of Manhattan.

City workers installed temporary co-named street signs at intersections matching each player's jersey number, creating what city officials described as a championship route for fans to walk after the franchise captured its first NBA title in 53 years.

“This championship is bigger than basketball," Mamdani said. "It represents what our city is capable of when the odds are stacked against us."

The signs honor every player on the championship roster, from Jordan Clarkson at Sixth Avenue and West Houston Street, representing No. 00, to Ariel Hukporti at Seventh Avenue and West 55 Street, matching No. 55.

The Knicks finished the postseason with a 16-3 record, completing the franchise's first championship run since 1973.
