Art over Broadway Plaza's Times Square
Art illuminating Broadway Plaza June 23 in a digital exhibit at Times Square by Artist Talk. "City Threads" by Vian Borchert is one of them.
Thrilled to share with you the good news about this upcoming digital exhibition over Broadway Plaza / Times Square NYC on Thursday June 23, 2022 where my painting "City Threads" inspired by NYC skyline will be part of a massive billboard digital exhibition via "Artist Talk Magazine" highlighting the works of a number of international talented artists over Broadway plaza.
The exhibition on June, 23, 2022 will be shown within a duration of 20 hours: 6am - 2am / 15 seconds every 3 minutes. The exhibition's billboard is in Broadway Plaza, located above one of Times Square’s main pedestrian plazas. The display is installed just outside H&M’s Times Square flagship location at 151 West 42nd Street (Formerly known as 4 Times Square). It is also next to the Nasdaq Market Site.
Broadway Plaza doesn't only bring you the best musicals the world has to offer in the city that never sleeps, but it also brings you art, lights and action through its creative billboards that are by themselves a staple of the city and an open air multi-media exhibition.

I am proud to add my artistic vision to the sights and sounds of Broadway and its Times Square Plaza through one of my latest and best cityscapes based on the city itself and its vibrant charm and elegance.
Here is what the organizer of this special exhibition "Artist Talk Magazine" stated about "City Threads":

"The work is a visual love letter to NYC, a city that houses some of the best architecture in the world. The painterly emphasis highlights dreamy takes of walks taken through the city admiring its dynamic essence and architecture; and thus transporting the artist, Vian Borchert’s journey to the world via the artist’s eye. The work is an ode to the historical architecture of NYC. The color violet evinces a sense of harmony and hope. Borchert intended through this work to ask: What is the essence of our being? While reflecting upon how each individual’s essence has an impact on another. Hence, the artist aims to deliver a sense of peace, hope and re-energy."
