Artisanal Pop-Up Market Shows Off Uptown Businesses

HARLEM, NY — Whether your looking for hot pepper sauces, eco-friendly beauty products or handbags with hashtags on them, a pop-up market in Harlem has it all.

Graduates of the 2018 Harlem Local Vendor Program are coming together to present the Uptown Artisanal Pop-Up market for the second straight weekend at Broadway and 112th Street.

The market is a partnership with Columbia University and will be open from 11 a.m to 6 p.m. on both Saturday, June 15, and Sunday, June 16.

The Harlem Local Vendor Program is supported by Columbia University, the Columbia-Harlem SBDC and Harlem Park to Park. Columbia University is providing the 2878 Broadway location on 112th Street for free.

Here's a look at the Pop-Up market from the weekend of June 8th and 9th.

"Columbia is proud to support these Northern Manhattan businesses, and we hope the venture is successful so we can continue to bring innovative retail experiences to the community," said Shari Colburn, Vice President of Real Estate.

"We're also thankful for the Harlem Local Vendor Program, which has enabled us to create a support network to help all our businesses grow. The ability to work together on projects like this is invaluable," said Jennifer Stamm, owner of Hashbags, a line of tote bags, and a participant in the program.

Here's a list of the almost two-dozen local businesses the market will feature:
