Three weeks ago on Christmas Eve, residents and staff at Bronx Center, the large 200-bed skilled nursing facility on Underhill Avenue and Bruckner Boulevard, received a warm holiday visit from Reverend Kevin Gravesandy and his wife Lina from The Bronx Christian Church located on Katonah Avenue in the Bronx. Almost 40 residents attended the heartfelt Christmas celebration and Rev. Kevin and his wife did a winter coat drive at Bronx Center where they gave coats to each resident on hand.

The Bronx Christian Church is well-known for their outreach into the Bronx community with regards to serving at soup kitchens, shelters, and other charitable causes. Other worthy events have also included the hosting of toy drives, renovating a church building for the elderly, hosting activities for displaced families and at Bronx Center, Rev. Kevin brings Church programs to the floors and facility. This Church and the Bronx Center have a solid and special history together.
