Credit One Bank's Credit Wreckers Are on the Loose Ahead of National Get Smart about Credit Day

Event Details

160 Ave of the Americas, New York, NY, 10013

New York City, consider yourself warned. Credit One Bank’s Credit Wreckers campaign has been taking over the city—bringing harmful credit habits like missing payments, maxing out credit cards, and other financial pitfalls to life through inventive and theatrical activations.

Starting October 6, just in time for spooky season, New Yorkers began seeing eerie “BEWARE” posters of the Credit Wreckers: a mischievous cast of characters like Miss Payment, Max Out, Cancelina and One Track Jack each personifying scary habits that can haunt your credit score. The campaign, inspired by survey insights showing that many U.S. adults lack basic credit knowledge, has already put the city abuzz.

But the real chaos began on Oct. 9 when the Credit Wreckers will be spotted creating disturbances across NYC. This theatrical installment built momentum toward a grand finale experiential activation in SoHo at 160 Avenue of the Americas, in which a Credit One Bank billboard has dramatically fallen on the Credit Wreckers in real life, bringing an end to the chaos ahead of Get Smart About Credit Day (10/16).

New Yorkers can visit the site to observe the dramatic scene for themself - and afterward, they can visit https://www.creditonebank.com/... to learn more about how they can avoid the Credit Wreckers themselves.
