Join us at Bryant Park on Monday, June 1 from 6:00–8:00 PM for Read on the Lawn Day, Bryant Park Reading Room’s very first reading party produced in partnership with Reading Rhythms. Launching this year’s literary lineup of free weekly events, Read on the Lawn Day invites book lovers to gather for an evening of quiet reading, lively discussion, and community in the heart of Midtown Manhattan. Bring a picnic blanket, a friend, and whatever you’re currently reading, then settle in on the lawn as ambient music sets the tone for relaxed reading sessions and spontaneous conversations among fellow readers. Registration is recommended.
The Reading Room at Bryant Park is a free, open-air literary oasis in the heart of Midtown Manhattan. Open daily from 11 AM to 7 PM through October, it offers a thoughtfully curated selection of books, newspapers, and magazines for visitors to enjoy on the lawn beneath its signature yellow umbrellas or shaded trees. Now through September, the Reading Room offers a lineup of weekly literary programming, including author talks, poetry readings, film discussions, book clubs, and children’s StoryTime.
