Grammy-winning saxophonist and composer Miguel Zenón, a MacArthur and Guggenheim Fellow, is among the most influential voices in contemporary jazz, seamlessly blending innovation with tradition and Afro-Caribbean roots. Born in San Juan, he has released eighteen albums, including the Grammy-winning El Arte Del Bolero Vol. 2. Joined by acclaimed Grammy-winning pianist Luis Perdomo, his longtime collaborator, the duo will perform as part of the NoMad Jazz Festival Concert Series on June 1st 7PM at Baruch Performing Arts Center


The NoMad Jazz Festival Concert Series, extends the mission of the NoMad Jazz Festival beyond Festival Week August 2-8) into a year-round offering. Leading up to the free summer Festival, the Concert Series will feature a curated mix of free and ticketed performances, with proceeds supporting the free, week-long NoMad Jazz Festival.
