On June 5, Bryant Park welcomes Dancing for the Wild, an inspiring evening presented by vildwerk, the New York City-based nonprofit that brings together world-class dance and environmental action. Founded in 2022, vildwerk. collaborates with conservation leaders and acclaimed artists to transform real-world environmental challenges into compelling stories told through movement. The program features performances by the award-winning Buglisi Dance Theatre, known for works that explore social justice and climate issues; The Joffrey Concert Group, the resident company of the Joffrey Ballet School; former Dance Theatre of Harlem principal Ingrid Silva, an internationally recognized artist and advocate; and choreographer and vildwerk. co-founder Henning Rübsam; and acclaimed dancer, choreographer, and New York Theatre Ballet Artistic Director Antonia Franceschi. 

Bryant Park Picnic Performances, presented by Bank of America, the free outdoor performing arts festival in the heart of Midtown Manhattan, is underway for its largest season yet in celebration of America’s 250th anniversary. Running May 28 through September 11, this year’s lineup features 24 free performances spanning music, dance, opera, circus, and more, including collaborations with New York City Opera and Carnegie Hall, plus the festival’s first-ever Brass and Choir Festivals. The season continues to bring unforgettable summer performances to New Yorkers and visitors alike.
