Meet best-selling authors in person as they discuss their latest books, share insider tips on the writing process, and answer your burning questions during a free public Q&A. Hosted by actress and podcaster Ilana Levine, host of Little Known Facts with Ilana Levine, this engaging event also features personal stories from accomplished writers, each drawn from their unique experiences and comedic perspectives. Hear from writer and humorist Maeve Dunigan (Read This to Look Cool: Essays and Overthinkings) and Emmy-nominated television writer and performer Jenny Hagel (Advice No One Asked For: Essays) as they reflect on the inspiration behind their work and the craft of writing comedy. Stay after the presentation for a chance to have your book personally signed.
The Reading Room at Bryant Park is a free, open-air literary oasis in the heart of Midtown Manhattan. Open daily from 11 AM to 7 PM through October, it offers a thoughtfully curated selection of books, newspapers, and magazines for visitors to enjoy on the lawn beneath its signature yellow umbrellas or shaded trees. Now through September, the Reading Room offers a lineup of weekly literary programming, including author talks, poetry readings, film discussions, book clubs, and children’s StoryTime.
