Join us at Bryant Park on Thursday, June 18 from 7 PM to 9 PM for a special Pride Month celebration as part of the Bryant Park Picnic Performances Presented by Bank of America. Presented in partnership with Joe’s Pub, the evening features a dynamic double bill of groundbreaking artists. Headlining the program is Joan As Police Woman (Joan Wasser), the acclaimed Brooklyn-based singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist whose genre-defying career has included collaborations with artists such as Iggy Pop, Lou Reed, Anohni & The Johnsons, and David Byrne. Also taking the stage is Britton & The Sting, a funk liberation band led by Tony Award-winning artist-activist Britton Smith, whose electrifying performances celebrate radical authenticity, collective joy, and community. Together, these visionary artists promise an unforgettable evening of music, connection, and Pride under the stars.
Bryant Park Picnic Performances, presented by Bank of America, the free outdoor performing arts festival in the heart of Midtown Manhattan, is underway for its largest season yet in celebration of America’s 250th anniversary. Running May 28 through September 11, this year’s lineup features 24 free performances spanning music, dance, opera, circus, and more, including collaborations with New York City Opera and Carnegie Hall, plus the festival’s first-ever Brass and Choir Festivals. The season continues to bring unforgettable summer performances to New Yorkers and visitors alike.
