As New York City gears up for Fourth of July celebrations and America's 250th commemorations, the Intrepid Museum invites the public to a free outdoor screening of the blockbuster film Independence Day aboard its flight deck. Set against the backdrop of the Hudson River and the Manhattan skyline, the Museum's annual Summer Movie Series continues on June 26, with a film that has become a Fourth of July tradition for many Americans, kicking off a week of patriotic programming that includes the International Naval Review, Parade of Sail and International Aerial Review.
Doors open at 7:00pm; the film begins at sunset. Space is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis; entry is not guaranteed. Movie Nights at the Intrepid Museum are proudly supported by Pepsi-Cola Bottling Company of New York.
Guests are welcome to bring lawn chairs, blankets, and outside food and non-alcoholic beverages. Light concessions will be available for purchase. Alcohol is not permitted.
