The globe-trotting inflatable art exhibition Balloon Museum unveils its first permanent U.S. flagship at the historic Tin Building in Seaport. The inaugural exhibition, DAYDREAM, AIR BECOMES ART, invites guests to escape into a dreamlike reality with a collection of works that invite you to touch, explore and be one with the art.

At the heart of the exhibition is renowned performance artist Marina Abramović’s Snowy/Windy/Spring on Planet Z, an otherworldly installation and her first-ever work comprised of air, that places visitors inside an extraterrestrial meadow of inflatable grass and swirling artificial snow. Other standout works include Martin Creed’s Half the Air in a Given Space, a transparent room filled with hundreds of blue balloons that “contain” half of the enclosed air, Alex Schweder’s Her Joy, a rising and deflating mirror ball, Karina Smigla-Bobinski’s ADA, a helium-filled, charcoal-spiked sphere that floats freely through the room, and Hyperstudio’s Invisible Ballet, an unstable choreography of airborne spherical chrome balloons.

Enriching for art enthusiasts and thrilling for kids, Balloon Museum welcomes all ages and promises an extraordinary experience for the whole family.
