NYBC Obon Dance Festival - New York, NY. The Obon Dance Festival returns to its new home on Manhattan’s Upper West Side on Sunday, August 9th.

The celebration will take place just steps from the New York Buddhist Church (NYBC) on 106th Street, thanks to the dedication of the Obon Committee who worked tirelessly to secure this special neighborhood location.

This community-centered event is open to the public and features traditional Obon circle dancing, powerful Taiko drumming, origami activities for children, and other cultural festivities. Everyone is encouraged to join in the celebration of remembrance, joy, and togetherness.
