Fall for the City at Rockefeller Center brings family fun to all with seasonal crafts, free face painting and autumn views from Top of the Rock. Families can also create their own works of art alongside famed artist Kenny Scharf while celebrating his larger-than-life public art installation on the Plaza or lace up for The Rink’s 90th season beginning October 10.

At 30 Rockefeller Plaza

October 10–31

Center Plaza becomes home to a 34-foot inflatable creature and six surrounding dancers, marking Scharf’s largest sculptural commission to date.

Saturdays: October 10, 17, 24 and 31 | 10 AM–noon

This free children’s workshop, presented with Art Production Fund, invites kids to paint planters inspired by Scharf’s otherworldly Living Sunshine Caverns. Completed planters will be filled with plants and displayed at Rockefeller Center as part of a public art exhibition.

At Top of the Rock

October 3–November 1 | 10AM-2PM

Children can enjoy free face painting every Saturday and Sunday.

October 10 | 1PM-2PM

Visitors can watch the artist create art live, high above Manhattan.

Sundays: October 11, 18 and 25 | 10 AM–noon

Children ages 5–12 can enjoy 45-minute workshops with activities including making slime, painting pumpkins, making candy apples and decorating trick-or-treat bags, all while taking in autumn views of New York City from Rockefeller Center’s observation deck 70 stories above.

October 31 | 10AM-4PM

A special Fall for the City celebration invites families to enjoy Halloween high above Manhattan.

October 30–November 2
