Eryc Taylor Dance Celebrates Its 20th Anniversary at Slate with Hearts on Fire on 11/8 & 11/9

Eryc Taylor Dance invites New Yorkers to celebrate its 20th anniversary with Hearts on Fire at Slate NYC (54 West 21st Street) on Sunday, November 8, and Monday, November 9, 2026. Each evening begins with a pre-show celebration featuring company slideshows, archival memorabilia, raffles, and opportunities to mingle with the artists and community members who have shaped ETD’s history, with food and drinks available for purchase. The celebration’s centerpiece, Hearts on Fire, is a contemporary dance-theatre work created and directed by Eryc Taylor in collaboration with ETD dancers and set to the music of Beth Hart. Blending expressive choreography, spoken text, cinematic staging, and theatrical lighting, the performance explores love, heartbreak, forgiveness, and resilience in an intimate setting that places audiences just feet from the dancers. Opening night will also feature remarks from New York City Council Member Carl Wilson of District 3.
