A man is accused of killing Keyan Francis, 28, during an argument over a clogged toilet March 26, according to a report and police.

NEW YORK CITY — A stink over a clogged toilet turned deadly in a Bronx apartment, according to a report and police.
Christopher Machiote, 27, was arrested Tuesday on accusations he fatally shot Keyan Francis, 28, during an argument over a backed-up, overflowing toilet, the New York Daily News first reported.
The pair were in Morris Houses on Washington Avenue when the March 26 shooting occurred, NYPD officials said.

Machiote, a parolee, had been crashing on a couch in an apartment believed to be a gang hangout, according to the Daily News report. But his stay wasn’t peaceful, as he argued with Francis over a clogged toilet, the report states.
It’s unclear who dealt the toilet clogger, the Daily News reported.

The reported toilet fracas appears to have escalated to violence, with police accusing Machiote of shooting Francis in the chest. Francis was rushed to St. Barnabas Hospital, where doctors pronounced him deceased.
Machiote faces charges of murder, manslaughter and criminal possession of a weapon.
