Derrick Rose Officially Joins the Knicks at Madison Square Garden Ceremony
The former MVP is being introduced to Knicks fans Friday at Madison Square Garden.
NEW YORK, NY — Former NBA MVP Derrick Rose is now officially a New York Knick.

Rose held up his Knicks jersey — he'll be wearing No. 25 — for the first time Friday at a press conference in Madison Square Garden.
Rose was traded to the Knicks on Wednesday in exchange for center Robin Lopez and point guards Jose Calderon and Jerian Grant.

The Knicks also received guard Justin Holliday and a second round draft pick.
Rose, a three-time All-Star and 2011 NBA MVP, averaged 16.4 points and 4.7 assists per game for the Bulls last season — both the second-lowest totals of his career. He played in just 66 games in 2015-16, though that was the most since his MVP season.

Rose has a long injury history, including a torn left ACL in the 2012 NBA playoffs and torn meniscus in his right knee in 2014.
