'Drunk' Taxi Passenger Was Actually Dead Woman: Reports
A woman found dead in a taxi early Wednesday had injuries that prompted police to suspect foul play, according to reports.

NEW YORK CITY — A taxi driver discovered his fare — a seemingly "drunk" woman — actually had been dead as he drove her from Manhattan to Queens, according to reports.
Police suspect foul play in the death of the as-yet-unidentified woman, 26, the New York Post first reported.
The woman had been put inside a cab in the Lower East Side early Wednesday after a friend received a call that she'd been drunk inside a nightclub, the Post reported.

The cabbie drove the woman to the friend's house in Flushing, according to the Post. When they arrived, the friend noticed the woman was unconscious and told the cabbie to drive to the hospital, the report states.
Doctors at New York-Presbyterian Queens Hospital found the woman was dead, the Post reported. Not only that, she also had “suspicious” burns on her face, neck and back, as well as bruises, according to the report.

NYPD executed a search warrant at the Lower East Side establishment the woman visited, which is a reputed illegal nightclub, according to the post.
