NEW YORK CITY — Several people were injured Saturday in a multi-vehicle collision that closed all eastbound lanes of the Brooklyn Bridge, police confirmed on Twitter.
The crash happened just before 3 p.m., according to an NBC New York report. Officials told NBC that one person was taken to Bellevue Hospital with critical injuries, and six others were treated at the scene for minor injuries.
NBC reported that images from the scene showed several crashed vehicles and debris scattered across a portion of the bridge. One car was seen with shattered windows, while another had rolled over onto its side.
