Trump, by contrast, had 25.43 percent or 490,395 votes.

The results are unofficial and account for 87.05 percent of scanners counted.

The contest between Trump and Biden wasn't just the biggest race on the ballot — it was the most-prominent matchup with a New Yorker on the ballot.

While Trump may hail from New York City - despite him recently changing his home state to Florida - anyone walking down its street can tell he’s more black sheep than favored son. "If you go and look at what has happened to New York, it's a ghost town," Trump said during the final presidential debate.

New York politicos such as Gov. Andrew Cuomo and Mayor Bill de Blasio, among many others, were more than willing to return the barbs.

"From the point of view of New York City, this has been the worst president in history," Cuomo said back in September."... President Trump has actively been trying to kill New York City ever since he's been elected and it's a personal animus as it normally is with the President.

"I think it's because he is from New York City and New York City rejected him always. He was dismissed as a clown in New York City."
