Eric Trump And Wife Lara Are Expecting Their First Child

First son and Trump Organization executive Eric Trump announced that he and his wife Lara Trump are expecting a son.

NEW YORK, NY — New York's royal family is going to get a little larger. Eric Trump, son of President Donald Trump, announced that he and his wife Lara Trump are expecting a son to be born in September.

The Trump Organization executive — who runs the business with his brother Donald Jr. and definitely not with the help of his father — confirmed the news Monday on Twitter.

Eric, 33, and Lara Trump, 34, both live in New York City and married in 2014. The son will be their first child, but it won't be President Donald Trump's first grandchild. Donald Trump Jr. has five kids, and sister Ivanka Trump has three kids.

The president congratulated his son via his favorite medium — Twitter — on Monday afternoon.

"Congratulations Eric & Lara. Very proud and happy for the two of you!," Trump tweeted.

In an interview with People Magazine both Trumps said they were excited for the upcoming birth of their son. The couple supposedly found out about Lara's pregnancy on Eric's birthday, which was "pretty cool," Eric said. The only thing left to do is to pick a name for the child, the Trumps told People.

“We really loved the name Charlie, but we’d already named our dog that, so it’s out,” Eric told People.
