Everyone Brought Their A-Game to Shoptalk, Passport Took It Further

Shoptalk Spring 2025 wasn't your typical trade show, it was so much more!

With disco balls, lasers, a DJ, and fog machines, Shoptalk Spring 2025 turned the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas into a high-energy business experience. Owned by Hyve Group, Shoptalk welcomed more than 10,000 attendees over three days, including nearly 1,000 exhibitors and over 225 senior-level speakers from powerhouse brands like Gap, Levi’s and SharkNinja.

This year’s extended exhibit hall gave brands and retailers more time to connect, and they made the most of it. Among standout features like the Glitter Lobby, IV Lounge, 'Free' Store, and Wellness Centers, one topic dominated conversation - Tariffs.

When the Trump administration announced broad tariffs on all imported goods, especially higher rates for certain countries, many retail leaders were forced to quickly rethink their logistics strategies. These new costs made it urgent for businesses to find smarter, more cost-effective ways to manage their supply chains and keep products moving without hurting their bottom line.

That’s where Passport came in. As a global logistics partner, Passport offered real-world solutions, from in-country inventory fulfillment to smarter international shipping, to help brands reduce tariff exposure and stay competitive. These challenges sparked meaningful, high-level conversations at the Passport booth and during private meetings.

"Expanding into the UK and EU presents tremendous growth opportunities for U.S. brands," said Tom Griffin, President of Passport. “At our Shoptalk breakfast with Nest Commerce, we focused on why localizing the customer experience, from digital marketing to last-mile delivery, is critical for global success. Brands like Sugarlash and Huckberry were eager to learn how to do it right.”

The energy around Passport’s booth was electric. Exclusive giveaways from top clients like Rhode Beauty, Carpe, Theory11, and Glamnetic helped draw steady crowds. Rhode’s skincare samples and Theory11’s premium playing cards quickly became hot items, creating buzz on the show floor and across social media.

But Passport’s appeal wasn’t just that. Carpe’s co-founder, Kasper Kubica, stopped by to share how Passport helped the brand grow international sales. His video testimonial offered proof that the right logistics partner can accelerate global expansion.

Beyond the exhibit hall, Passport teamed up with The Digital Executive Network (The DEN) to host a well-attended happy hour. Brands like Genia Foods and LOFT joined the event, turning casual networking into strategic conversations.

“Shoptalk Spring 2025 gave us an incredible platform to engage with brands, both at the booth and during events,” said Chris Ziomek, VP of Sales at Passport. “Companies like Genia Foods and LOFT showed how focused the industry is on finding smart, adaptable solutions. It’s exciting to see that energy around going global.”

With spin-off shows planned in Barcelona, Chicago, and Abu Dhabi, Shoptalk is now part of a new wave of business events like Money 20/20 and HLTH that are changing how deals get done and how innovation comes to life.
