Feds Seize $4M Worth Of Heroin In NYC Bust
Two men were arrested amid a raid on a drug stash house that uncovered 28 pounds of suspected heroin, authorities said.

NEW YORK CITY — A federal raid on a Bronx apartment seized $4 million of suspected heroin and resulted in two arrests, authorities said.
Harris Wilson Sanchez, 54, and Hinguenbert Deleon, 36, sped away from authorities who were surveilling a North Riverdale last week apartment as part of a drug probe, according to a release.
But the pair didn't escape for long — they came back to the area Nov. 4 and were arrested by the DEA's Tactical Diversion Squad New York. Using a key that Wilson Sanchez had to the apartment, authorities went inside on a search and found 28 pounds of suspected heroin and three guns, a release states.

“Illegal drugs continue to threaten lives at record pace,” Ray Donovan, the DEA's special agent in charge, said in a statment. “As guns are continually recovered in our investigations, it is evidently clear that gun violence and drug trafficking are two public safety threats that go hand in hand."
The arrests followed a months-long probe centered around 5775 Mosholu Ave., a six-story apartment building in North Riverdale, authorities said.

Wilson Sanchez and Deleon were often seen entering and leaving the building — on Nov. 4, authorities said they spotted Wilson Sanchez carrying a bag from the apartment complex and go into a 2021 Volkswagen Touareg with Deleon inside.
That's when authorities tried to stop the SUV, only to be led on an unsuccessful chase, according to the release.
The apartment search after the men's ill-advised returns and arrests hours later uncovered 12 bricks of suspected heroin, a kilo press, money counter, three guns and more than 200 cartridges of ammunition.
Wilson Sanchez, who has been wanted by the U.S. Marshals Service since 2013, faces multiple drug- and gun-related felonies, as does Deleon.
Both men were arraigned over the weekend.
