The cocktail was developed by Bronya Shillo and is based on the house drink she served while bartending at her family’s bar, The Pequot Inn, which is also Fishers Island’s only bar. It has been available online and in select Northeast markets since 2015 and has become a popular choice to bring to parties, picnics, sporting events, or any boating activity.
“As we continue to introduce Fishers Island Lemonade to new markets, we are excited that the reaction is so positive,” Shillo said. “Just like we originally saw at The Pequot Inn, people love this delicious drink and appreciate the chance to have it at their favorite bar or restaurant. Of course, many people also love being able to take our convenient cocktail-in-a-can out with them as a fun and refreshing drink.”

The company also is encouraged by internet sales which are coming in from across the country. The versatile drink is being enjoyed in every region and during every season, and customers are looking forward to more local availability.
Fishers Island Lemonade comes in a vintage-inspired yellow- and white-striped can which reflects the beach locale of The Pequot Inn, where the recipe originated. The company supports environmental organizations through ONE percent For the Planet, along with the Henry L. Ferguson Museum, which preserves, protects, and educates people about the local and natural history of Fishers Island.
