NEW YORK CITY — Gas prices in New York City have continued to increase this month, according to new data from AAA.
According to AAA’s Fuel Prices website, gas prices went up 12 cents to $4.25 per gallon in New York City compared to last week.
The recent change comes as oil prices continue to surge and conflicts with Iran continue.

New York City gas prices are 7 cents more expensive than the statewide average of $4.18.
On April 6, the average price for a gallon of gas in the city was $4.11 — an 82 cents increase compared to a month ago, according to AAA.

An AAA Northeast survey found the national gas price average went up seven cents from last week — to $4.11.
Around the metro area, Long Island's gas prices were up 12 cents to $4.12 compared to last week.
In New Jersey, gas prices are up 14 cents to $4.08.
