Giants Vs. Jets Snoopy Bowl 2017: Everything You Need To Know

Game time, TV, parking info, public transportation options and more ahead of Saturday's game at MetLife Stadium.

EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ — The annual MetLife Bowl/Snoopy Bowl means the start of the NFL season is just weeks away. This year's match-up between the New York Jets and New York Giants features two teams with vastly differing expectations.

It's a yearly tradition for the Jets and Giants to do battle in the third preseason game, considered a rehearsal for the regular season opener when NFL teams generally play their starters for up to three quarters.

Here's everything you need to know about Saturday's tilt at MetLife Stadium, where the Giants will be the "home team" at the field shared by both squads.

Game time:

Saturday, Aug. 25 at 7 p.m. at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, NJ

Storylines:

The Snoopy Bowl gets a pair of added dimensions in 2017 as two well-known players will face their former teams for the first time. Former Jet Brandon Marshall is questionable with an injury, but could suit up for the Giants and former Jet quarterback Geno Smith is expected to get some playing time as Eli Manning's backup for the Giants.

How to get there:

If driving from New York City's Columbus Circle, take NY-495 W into New Jersey via the Lincoln Tunnel, then NJ-3 W to NJ-120 N in East Rutherford. Continue on Washington Ave., take a right onto Paterson Plank Road, another right onto N. Connection Road and then a left onto W. Peripheral Road until you get to the Meadowlands Sports Complex.

Here are the driving directions from other locations in the NY/NJ Metro area.

If taking the bus, get on the 160 operated by NJ Transit at 41st Street and 8th Avenue in New York and take it to the Meadowlands Sports Complex. The 161 also goes to Washington Avenue in East Rutherford and will leave you off nearby. Rail Shuttle Service will also be offered by NJ Transit beginning at 4 p.m. The 351 Meadowlands Express is also an option.

Parking:

Parking lots at MetLife Stadium will open at 2 p.m., three hours before gates will open. Parking fees are $30 for cars and $120 for buses and RVs.

Get tickets:

Tickets on TicketMaster were going for as low as $47 on Friday. Other options include going through VividSeats, StubHub and SeatGeek.

Last season:

  • The Giants went 11-5, finishing in 2nd place in the NFC East and lost in the first round of the playoffs to the Green Bay Packers.
  • The Jets went 5-11, finishing in 4th place in the AFC East and missed the playoffs.

Injuries:

NYG: Brandon Marshall and Odell Beckham Jr. are among the prominent players that will be questionable for the Giants.

NYJ: Quincy Enunwa, Morris Claiborne and Jordan Leggett are among the questionable players for the Jets.

Head Coaches:

NYJ: Todd Bowles, 17-18 in two seasons with the Jets.

NYG: Bob McAdoo, 11-6 in one season with the Giants.

2016 Snoopy Bowl:

The Giants won 21-20.

Last Regular Season Meeting:

The Jets pulled an upset, 23-20 in overtime, over the Giants on Dec. 6, 2015.

All-time Series:

Giants lead 8-5. The Jets' win in the most recent contest in 2015 ended a five-game winning streak by the Giants in the series.
