Gilmore Girls Revival: 13 NYC Coffee Shops Turn Into Luke's Diner Oct. 5 (LIST)

NEW YORK, NEW YORK — If you're eagerly awaiting the "Gilmore Girls" revival coming to Netflix in November, grabbing a cup of coffee at Luke's Diner, Rory and Lorelai's favorite spot, might put your impatience in a brief hiatus. More than 200 pop-up coffee shops inspired by the show's most recognizable set will appear nationwide on Oct. 5, including 13 in New York City.

In the show's initial seven-year run, you'd often find Lorelai and Rory Gilmore talking about their lives, loves and pop culture — in lightning-fast dialogue — while sipping coffee in the window of the corner diner in the small fictional town of Stars Hollow.

The show has become a cult classic, even more so when all seven seasons were made available on Netflix. And on Nov. 25, the streaming service will release four extended episodes where fans hope questions about Rory's career and love-life will finally be answered.

At least one coffee shop in each state is participating in the event, according to a "Town of Stars Hollow" promotional site. And in New York, we're lucky enough to have 13, three in Brooklyn, two in The Bronx, seven in Manhattan and even one in Staten Island.

The shops are offering a free cup of coffee from 7 a.m. to noon or while supplies last, as well as other surprises, according to Eater.

Netflix's "Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life" will be available for streaming on Nov. 25.

The "Gilmore Girls" revival will consist of four 90-minute episodes that take place in the present, about nine years after the original series ended. Each episode will cover a different season of the year.
