NEW YORK CITY — Jury selection is expected to begin Tuesday for the Harvey Weinstein's sex crime retrial.

This is the third retrial for the disgraced movie mogul in connection to sexual assault charges in New York.

In June 2025, a jury issued a split verdict. The jury found Weinstein guilty of sexually assaulting one woman but acquitted the former movie mogul of another sex charge.

Judge Curtis Farber at the time declared a mistrial on a final charge against Weinstein after the jury foreman refused to join the deliberations.

The foreman said he was unwilling to continue and was obligated to declare a mistrial on the remaining charged that accused Weinstein of sexually assaulting former actor Jessica Mann.

Weinstein was first tried in 2020 and was convicted of raping Mann and sexually assaulting another woman. The New York Court of Appeals overturned the conviction in 2024.

Weinstein has maintained he is innocent throughout the years.

The former movie mogul is also serving a 16-year sentence in California.
