Here Are NYC's James Beard Award 2022 Winners
The prestigious culinary prize got served up Monday evening to a smorgasbord of awaiting New York City restaurants and chefs.

NEW YORK CITY — A veritable tasting menu of New York City restaurants and chefs were up for top prizes in 2022's James Beard Awards on Monday.
Ultimately, a single chef — Chintan Pandya, of Dhamaka — and restaurant — The Four Horsemen — gobbled up prizes.

Dhamaka bills itself as "unapologetic Indian" and serves up food in Essex Market.
The Four Horsemen is a restaurant and wine bar in Brooklyn. It won outstanding wine program.

And Wo Hop, a restaurant in Chinatown, was previously announced as a James Beard Foundation America's Classics winner.
"A trip to Wo Hop is the perfect end to any night, one that you couldn’t experience anywhere else in the world," the foundation's site states.
Officially known as the James Beard Foundation’s 2022 Restaurant and Chef Awards, the ceremony often regarded as the Oscars of the culinary industry returned to Chicago for the first time since 2019.
The industry remains in a recovery phase after lost business during the pandemic and “still needs support,” James Beard Foundation CEO Clare Reichenbach said at the ceremony, according to a news release.
New York City chefs and restaurants made strong showings in the competition's early round. But, ultimately, the field whittled to the final winners.
