Drag DJ duo Jawbreakers are out today with their debut EP, Just a Taste, and they are serving a delicious platter of pop and house music beats. Being released through Vicious Recordings - the label that discovered Avicii - the album includes "Boyfriend," Jawbreakers' first smash that climbed to #1 on the iTunes Dance chart in January 2022 and "This is Dirty", their campy dance floor anthem.

Also releasing with Just a Taste is Jawbreakers' next sure-to-be smash, “Bodycount (featuring Clara Fable).” “It’s about embracing the siren within,” Kali Forni-Kate of Jawbreakers explains from her home in Melbourne, Australia. She says, “We live in a sex positive world and no one should be judged by (their) number of sexual partners.”

Sabrina Babyslut, the other half of Jawbreakers, adds, “We hope everyone hears something they love in the four songs we have on Just a Taste. We want people to see that Jawbreakers are a force to be reckoned with and that there’s nothing like us out there.”

Kali and Sabrina met in 2016 while performing in a Britney Spears tribute show in Melbourne. Their Jawbreakers name is a reference to the 1998 teen film about an all-girl clique who reign supreme in their high school. “We’re here to rule the dance floor,” Sabrina says, and, so far, Jawbreakers have done just that.

Their quick rise to fame in the festival circuit brought them to the attention of Damien Platt from Vicious Recordings. “Kali and Sabrina presented us with demos that were fun, campy and most importantly, quality music. We knew they would be a perfect fit for our Extrovert Music division.”

Extrovert Music is a division of Vicious Recordings that specializes in music in the LGBTQ space.

“Jawbreakers started as DJs but we got into music production to prove to the world that we are not only playing the party, Jawbreakers are the party,” Kali Forni-Kate continues. Her bold proclamation is reflected in the music on Just a Taste and in the new “Bodycount” single. Accompanying “Bodycount” will be a slickly choreographed music video, to be released in the next few weeks.

Jawbreakers’ “Just A Taste” is available on Apple Music and Spotify.
