Knicks Owner Invites President Trump To NBA Finals Game At MSG

NEW YORK CITY — The Knicks are back in the NBA Finals and President Donald Trump may be in attendance for one of the upcoming two home games next month.

Trump told reporters on Wednesday that Knicks owner James Dolan invited him to attend a home game with him at Madison Square Garden. The Knicks are scheduled to host Game 3 on June 8 and Game 4 on June 10. A potential Game 6 would be on June 16.

New York is still waiting to see who'll they face in the finals between the Oklahoma City Thunder or the San Antonio Spurs beginning on June 3.

Trump called Dolan a "great guy" and said he had planned to attend Game 5 of the conference finals at MSG before the Knicks swept the Cavaliers in four games.

"Boy, what a team. They have some really great players," Trump said to reporters.

"The Knicks have really suffered for years," Trump added. "They're doing (well) right now."

Trump has previously attended UFC matches at MSG. If he were to attend a Finals game, security will be heightened in and around MSG and Penn Station.

The Knicks are now four wins away from ending the franchise's 53-year championship drought.

This will be the Knicks’ sixth NBA Finals appearance in franchise history.
