NEW YORK, NY— The sun was out for the 97th annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in Manhattan, New York, making for a storybook autumn day.

Favorite characters like Ronald McDonald and Spongebob SqurePants made their return with this year's new Beagle Scout Snoopy version celebrating the 50th anniversary of his first appearance in the Peanuts comics. Starting in the Upper West Side and making its way alongside Central Park, the parade is an annual tradition that brings millions of viewers together from all over the country.

Cher was on hand to perform — fresh on the scene with her first Christmas album — just before the arrival of Santa Claus, which marked the end of the festive parade. In addition, Jon Batiste, Bell Biv DeVoe, Brandy, Jessie James Decker, Pentatonix and Miss America 2023 Grace Stanke joined in at various moments throughout the morning of fun.
