Man Charged In Crash That Killed ‘Marvelous Mrs. Maisel’ Actor
The actor was struck at West 53rd Street and Broadway last year.
NEW YORK CITY — The driver who fatally struck "The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” actor Wenne Alton Davis in Manhattan has been arrested.
Davis, 60, was struck by a black 2023 Cadillac XT6 while she crossed the street at West 53rd Street and Broadway on Dec. 8, 2025, police said.
The driver, identified as 62-year-old MD Abdul Shomuz, has been charged with failure to yield to a pedestrian.

The actor was taken to Mount Sinai West Hospital, where she was later pronounced dead. Davis suffered severe trauma to the head and body.
Davis played a police officer in an 2023 episode of Amazon's “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel."

Shomuz was issued a desk appearance ticket and is due back in court on April 1.
Defense attorney information for the 62-year-old was not readily available.
