Man Stabbed In The Back Inside NYC Subway Station, Suspect At Large

NEW YORK CITY — Police are searching for a suspect who stabbed a man multiple times in the back at a subway station in Lower Manhattan on Wednesday.

The incident happened at the Broadway-Lafayette Station around 5:11 a.m.

A 51-year-old man and the suspect got into an argument in the mezzanine area of the station before the stabbing, police said.

As the victim was leaving the station, he was stabbed from behind.

The 51-year-old man was taken to NYC Health and Hospitals/Bellevue in stable condition.

The suspect fled on foot after the stabbing. He is described as a man in his 30s and is about 6 feet, 4 inches tall. He was last seen wearing all black clothing.

No arrests have been made as of Wednesday night. An investigation remains ongoing.
