NEW YORK CITY — Authorities have arrested the man who was captured on video this week choking a woman with his belt, dragging her between two cars on a New York City street, and raping her, according to multiple reports citing police sources.

Graphic video obtained and published by the New York Post shows the moment Parks used his belt to lasso the woman around the neck and pull her to the ground. The video shows him drag the woman's limp body between two cars.

The woman lost consciousness during the attack, during which the man raped her, police said.

Parks fled toward Melrose Avenue after the assault, while the woman went to Lincoln Hospital for treatment, authorities said.

According to an NBC New York report, the victim told police she had previous casual encounters with Parks in the neighborhood. She identified him as her attacker by his distinctive teeth, the report said.
