Metropolitan Commercial Bank Volunteers at Harmonia House

Bank Employees Volunteer at Harmonia House Shelter in New York City

Metropolitan Commercial Bank employees recently spent a day volunteering and serving lunch at Harmonia House, a housing shelter operated by the non-profit organization, Services for the Underserved. During their visit, Bank’s representatives helped serve lunch and also helped in the facility’s kitchen preparing the next day’s lunch and dinner meals. The Bank also donated turkeys for the Thanksgiving holiday to Harmonia House as well as Services for the Underserved’s Bronx and Brooklyn temporary housing shelters.

“Temporary housing facilities, like the locations Services for the Underserved operates, provide an essential service to New Yorkers in need throughout the year—but especially during the holiday season,” said Laura Capra, Metropolitan Commercial Bank’s Senior Vice President and Head of Retail Banking. “To partner with an organization that helps families get back on their feet and lift their spirits during the holiday season is an honor.”

“At Metropolitan Commercial Bank we are not only dedicated to fulfilling the banking and financial needs of our clients but supporting the needs of the broader community,” added Cinnamon Chambers, Metropolitan Commercial Bank’s Vice President and Community Reinvestment Act Director. “Giving back to the communities we serve is an important part of our mission, and working with organizations like Services for the Underserved helps us accomplish this goal.”
