In preparation for the possible snowfall this weekend, the New York City Emergency Management issued a Weather Alert in effect Sunday night through Monday morning.

Depending on the track of the lower pressure system, the snow fall totals could increase for the city, but forecasters have said a more accurate model should be available by weeks end.

The latest forecasts come as the area is still recovering from the Jan. 25 winter storm that drop close to a foot of snow in parts of the city.
